Why do we fall for someone, who really isn't for us?... should we blame ourselves for falling the wrong one. Or... should we blame the one we fell for, because... they made us believe that they are the right one for us?!

You fall for someone who is not really for you because of hormones. You might be lonely at the time, then who ever you talk to seems to be the right one etc.

"Blame" is a word that i hate. It is used for placing fault. It is a way of avoiding responsibility. A better question to ask is "how am I responsible ?" So lets say I go down to Tondo by myself at 12PM, wearing fancy clothes and talking on my iphone while walking around. Then this guy jumps out of nowhere and snatches my iphone and runs off. The guy who snatched my iphone has done a wrong. But afterwards I should ask the question "How was I responsible ?" Well my filipino friends told me, tondo is a dangerous place. If I really had to go there at that time, maybe I should have taken another friend with me. And probably talking on an iphone while walking around was not a good idea.

Taking responsibility is not about "beating yourself up". I also hate it when people call themselves losers. People make mistakes. The key is to learn from your mistakes, and to not repeat the same mistake again. Learn from this mistake.

From the question it appears the man was a babaero. I always say "keep an open mind, but don't be stupid". Don't make judgements without proper facts. Don't assume anything. Don't make impulsive decisions.

Another statement I find comical. "He make me believe _____". Many filipino have told me about duwende. They claim that they are responsible for all sorts of things. I have seen no facts which prove they exist. There are other more logical explanations. Unless someone catches a duwende and shows it to me .... So believing in something is a personal choice.

We all make mistakes. I can give advice because I am a lot older then you, and have made tons of mistakes. For relationships. I lost track of the number of bad relationships I have been in. I look back and wonder, what was I thinking ? Smiley.

But once I started to take responsibility for my life. Things got a lot better.
Anyway this is just my opinion.

there is no one to be blamed for..we are old enough to be able to think and be responsible of our actions. Blaming is just a cover up and could hold us back from moving forward in life.
