I also wonder why filipino use "po" in text with textmate
There is no translation for "po" in english.
But I have had textmates and we would use english to text, but they would always say "good morning po" etc.
I eventually told them to stop, but they still would use sometimes.

I think filipino just like to be polite
If I do a text for business purposes I always put a "sir" or "mam" in the text, but with text mate should be different

I have also encountered textmates which are fond of using polite words such as po and opo, and they really got me annoyed. wala naman kasing dapat igalang pa kung kakain lang sasabihin pa "kakain lang po ako" o kaya maliligo lang po ako! parang minsan oa na kasi..feeling ko ang tanda ko na! haha

masyado kasi tayong mga magagalang..

tingin ko kaya laging may po yung iba.. (just like me) lagi kasing namimisinterpret(wrong intonation) pag walang po o opo.. para daw akong laging galit at seryoso.. ayun =) pero mostly yung iba pacute lang yung iba:D
