One must always have confidence just to approach another person. Just as long as it's not overconfidence and false bravado because people can usually see through that and your act will unravel quickly.

Take a look at most politicians, and I am not talking just Filipino politicians.
Or religious leaders are the best example, most of them are totally full of crap.
The US TV evangelist who was constantly preaching about the evil of homosexuality and drugs,

What is even more amazing, he claims not to be gay, and collected several more million from his stupid followers.

The best insurance salesman in USA had very poor english, he was a Polish immigrant, he spoke with a lisp, to make matters worse he was ugly. Basically his secret to his success was he got out there, talked to people and sold.

Key words are "got out there" and "talked to people".
Are you going to get shot down sometimes, and rejected, you bet.

Ask women what they want, honestly 95% of time they are full crap and don't know what they want.
Hence why most of the time they end up with assholes and jerks who beat the crap out of them.

After you talk to more women, you realize they are boring as crap, and you can't get rid of them.
Maybe I should have taken up selling insurance, at least I could make a profit from that.

Meron akong isang scenario before. Going ako ng Bora para sa work ko nun by land and sa opposite side ng upuan ako may girl na maganda, maputi & syempre chubby ng konti. Then nag stop over yung bus sa somewhere Capiz para magmeryenda. (Gasoline station malapit) Tamang tama naman nag yosi ako tapus sya papalapit sa akin at nag yosi din sya. Unang tanong ko sa kanya is "Mukhang hahabol ka sa summer" (Late june na kasi yun) Then, matagal din kaming nag usap pinag usapan namin mga common sa amin, habang nag uusap kami bigla akong nagpakilala na ako si ganyan (may kasamang shake hands). Then, Caticlan na palipat na ng Bora, sabi ko sa sarili ko pag nag sabay pa kami sa Boat, meant to be na talaga at kukunin ko number nya! Malas di kami nag sabay, Pero nong naglakad lakad ako sa D*mall nagkita kami ulit. (Sabi ko eto na!) Lumapit ako sa kanya then, sabi ko "Ok lang ba na hingin ko number mo?" Tapus binigay nya yung number nya.. Tapus sabi ko kung walang kang gagawin pagbalik mo ng iloilo labas tayo.. She said ok..

Well, there will be exceptions. It's either such people are very good at convincing or others believe easily. Or both.

Well, there will be exceptions. It's either such people are very good at convincing or others believe easily. Or both.  

People over estimate the power of others to detect lies.
So they assume that if they lie, then most people will be able to detect this.
In reality lies are detected less then 1% of the time.

I am not saying you should lie.
